Playlist for 7/16/2010: Giving in to the Wild Side of Life

Above photos courtesy of Julie Workman.

What a show. What a weekend. Jack "Oblivian" Yarber and John Paul Keith were kind enough to stop by the station before their gig Friday night at the Bayview Brewhaus. Both talk about touring, recording plans and more. A dynamite show was delivered that night from John Paul during his set with the One Four Fives and Jack O. & the Tennessee Tearjerkers later on. The show's other guest, Brian from Big Rock Candy Mountain, filled in listeners about his must-read blog, revealed some of his 2010 faves, and spun the latest Goner 7" from King Lee and Quintron. Had a blast hanging out with Brian (far left in group photo) and Good John (pictured above with his rare beer-in-hand look) over the weekend - even though they went to a warehouse filled with vinyl goodness without me and returned with this gift for me. Revenge will be had, gents.
